Funeral service for Lionel C. Rogers will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Brett Dobbs of Duncan, Oklahoma officiating. Brett is also a stepson of Lionel.

Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Lionel C. Rogers, 55, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Lawton. He was born June 29, 1968 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to 1SG (Retired) Lionel and Iris M. (Cardriche) Rogers. He grew up in Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Lionel was a good athlete and was sort of a dare devil with a skateboard and bicycle and had a big heart. He would do skateboarding tricks at nursing homes to entertain the patients there. Lionel married Gina Justus in June 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lionel spent most of his working life at Walmart at various locations serving as an assistant manager. He did this for 30+ years before his health would not allow it. He also worked at Academy Sports and Outdoors. Lionel was a diverse individual with a multitude of talents and likes including being an avid photographer, artist (especially drawing), traveling especially Disney, Marvel fan, automobiles, enjoying his pets, watching sports with his mother and family and spending time with his family. He was also known to be a good handyman.

Lionel is survived by his wife, Gina of the home, mother, Iris M. (Cardriche) Rogers of Lewisville, Texas, sister, Shelly Joseph and her daughter Mary Joseph of Lewisville, Texas, four stepchildren, Chante Stanton of Yukon, Oklahoma, Curtis Stanton of Lawton, Oklahoma, Brett Dobbs and wife Chalaine of Comanche, Oklahoma, Tucker Dobbs and wife Tylena of Graham, Texas, seven grandchildren, and many other family members.

He is preceded in death by his father, 1SG (Retired) Lionel Rogers, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
