Graveside service for Linda Ann Walters will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Linda Ann Walters, 68, Lawton passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her home in Lawton.  She was born June 14, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska to Arlen Jack and Delores May Rooney.  Linda was from a military family and moved all over, including Germany.  Linda completed junior high school in Killeen, Texas and the family moved to Lawton as she entered high school and later graduated from Lawton High in 1970.  Linda married Ronald Shatswell on August 20, 1970.  They were married for almost 31 years, and to this union two beautiful daughters were born.  Linda worked at K-Mart for 30 years until she retired.  She then worked at the VFW for several years, where she met her husband Sherman Walters.  Linda married Sherman on October 21, 2010.

Linda is survived by her husband Sherman Lee Walters of the home, daughter Sheena Shatswell of Lawton, step-son Travis Walters and wife Cecilia of Clinton, Oklahoma, step-son Blake Walters of Lawton, grandchildren; Nicholas and Trent Walters of Clinton, Oklahoma, William Walters of Lawton, Malaya Shatswell of Lawton, her sister Vickie McMullin of Moore, Oklahoma, brother John Rooney and wife Kathleen of Bel Air, Maryland, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arlen Jack Rooney and Delores May Rooney of Lawton, daughter Shannon Shatswell of Lawton, mother and father-in-law Sherman Walters, Sr. and Iva Mae Walters, granddaughter Sky-Lynn Walters and several aunts and uncles.
