Funeral service for Lila Dean, 79, Lawton will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Billy Harmon, Arena Cowboy Church, Lawton, officiating. Mrs. Dean died Friday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The Family will greet friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm. She was born April 4, 1932 in Bristow, Oklahoma. Her parents were Gilbert Lee and Edna Viola (Anderson) Butler. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1950. She married Billy W. Dean on November 4, 1950 in Lawton. He passed away January 29, 2005. She spent a short time as a telephone operator, before devoting her full time to her family. She was a sweet mother who enjoyed cooking, thinking of others and was always there when needed. She is survived by her two children, Doug Dean of Ardmore, OK, Kathy Boyer and husband Karl of Lawton, two sisters, Gladys Walker and husband Thomas of Louisville, MS, Rita Benge of Keller, TX, three brothers, Ernest Butler and wife Myrna of Rancho Rio, NM, Raymond Butler and wife Carolyn of Marlow, OK, David Butler and wife Pat of Texas, four grandchildren, Kendahl Williams and husband Brad of Lawton, Trisha Heddlesten and husband Lee of Edmond, OK, Bryan Dean and wife Aurora of Dillon, CO, Kelleigh Whaley and husband Jared of Norman, OK, two great grandchildren, Haleigh Russell, Kadence Williams and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Patti Dean and a sister Beverly May.
