Graveside service with military honors for CPO (Retired) Lee Roy "Papa Lee" Venturella will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Cache Cemetery with Pastor Scott Patton of the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Chaplain and son Dennis H. Easter officiating.

CPO (Retired) Lee Roy "Papa Lee" Venturella, 88, Indiahoma, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his home in Indiahoma. He was born August 31, 1931 in Verden, Oklahoma to Lucas Howard and Nora Mae (Lee) Venturella. He married Marie Bernice O'Brien on November 9, 1957 in Vernon, Texas. Marie passed away March 24, 2008. In his early life he worked for the telephone company and later joined the United States Navy serving aboard the USS Enterprise. He was a member of the first crew when the USS Enterprise was commissioned. He served his country in the Navy for 20 years. Following his retirement from the Navy, Lee became a mail sorter for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.

Papa Lee loved his family very much and was a "keeper of everyone". He was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most good-hearted men you could have ever known. His life was spent taking care of his family. The way he would give, you would think he had all the time and money in the world.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Easter and wife Katey of Cache/Indiahoma, Oklahoma, one granddaughter, Cindy Easter of Cache, three great grandchildren, Dillon Easter of Cache, Whitney Easter of Lawton, and Shelby Easter of Dallas, Texas, three great great grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, and Gunner Easter, seven nieces, Vicki Thompson, Tammi Gregory, Kim Rhea, Jacquetta Milligan, Tammy Brous, Charlene Venturella Harris, Candy Venturella Offineer and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Charles and Walter "Snooks" Venturella, and a granddaughter, Tina Marie Easter.
