Lawana Elaine Hall went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 24, 2016 surrounded by her family.  She was born July 13, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Eugene P. and Della L. (Bridges) Evans.  Lawana lived in Ardmore from age 2-5 and moved to Ada where she graduated High School.  Following graduation she moved to Lawton and later attended Cameron State Agricultural College.  Lawana married Gerald Lawson and later married Don Hall.

Early in her working career she worked at the USO and also for Public Service Company as secretary to the president.  Later in life she owned and operated her own market research company.

Two things important to Lawana were her relationship to her Lord and her relationship with her family.  She held a deep Christian faith which was evidenced by the way she lived her life.  Lawana joined First Baptist Church at the age of 17 when she moved to Lawton and was active in the ministries of the church.  She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and was active with Backyard Bible Clubs, Mission Friends and Mission Lawton.

Lawana was proud of her family and loved them dearly.  She will be deeply missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact she is at peace with her Heavenly Father.  Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Kevin Hall and former wife Leslie, Cary Hall, Larisa Hall and Dwayne Hall and wife Tami Jo; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Emmett and Debbie Meraz III, Jonathan and Stephanie Meraz, Gerald and Tracy Meraz, Aaron and Rebecca Meraz, Nathaniel and Debra Meraz, Jennifer and Matt Haddon, Lauren Hall, Jaime Hall, Donal Hall III, Jordan Hall and Katelyn Hall; 13 great grandchildren, Paige and husband Shane, Kyle, Kerra, Jenna Laine and husband Stephen, Bethany, Aaron Jr., Sarah, Tanner, Nicholas, Marissa, Bryce, Jace and Carter; and one great great granddaughter, Alana.

Her daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Emmett Meraz, her parents and a brother, Clinton Evans, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmett and Lana Meraz Memorial Scholarship Fund at Criswell College, 4010 Gaston Avenue, Dallas TX 75246.
