Funeral for Larry Thayne Meyer, 82, Lawton will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Charles Taylor, Richard Lynch, William Moon and Sharon Brown serving as eulogists. Mr. Meyer passed away at his home in Lawton on Saturday morning, February 4, 2012. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Larry was born on March 7, 1929 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Kenneth L. and Coralie (Fisher) Meyer. Larry managed several finance offices in Tulsa, Dallas and Lawton before becoming a financial examiner for the State of Oklahoma. While in Tulsa Larry worked in productions of the Tulsa Little Theater and became a regular member of the Tulsa Spotliters Club, performing in the long running production of "The Drunkard". Larry's passion was reading, his beloved dog, Molly and golf. He was a regular at the Officer's Club at Fort Sill for many years. Larry is survived by his wife, Jane M. Meyer, of the home; four sons and their spouses: Larry II and Phyllis Meyer, and family: Adriene, Nathan and Morgan, all of Denton, Texas, Dr. Stuart J. and Kim Meyer, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and their family: Dr. Evan and Ana Meyer and daughter, Melinda Sophia, of Temple, Texas, and Grace Meyer, of Oklahoma City; Dr. Beau Barron and Patricia Meyer, Garland, Texas, and their sons: Phillip and Collin, of Denton, Texas; and Mark Thayne Meyer, Anaheim Hills, Calif.; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Bailey and her husband, Jim, Anaheim Hills, Calif, other grandchildren: Jennifer Garcia, Kaitlin Bailey, Rachel Bailey, Samantha Meyer and McKenzie Meyer; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth L. Meyer, Muskogee. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia Franks and a grandson, Marshall Meyer.
