Funeral service for SSG (Retired) Larry B. McNeely will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain (CPT) Moniqua Woods, Fort Sill, Oklahoma officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

SSG (Retired) Larry B. McNeely, 68, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Oklahoma City. Larry B. McNeely was born on February 14, 1957, in Joliet, Illinois, to Shirly McNeely and Ethel Umpir. On August 14, 1985, he married the love of his life, Sherry L. Flynn.

Larry proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, dedicating eight years and 11 months as a combat engineer and an additional one year and two months as a unit supply specialist. After retiring from the military, he continued his service to the community by working at Fort Sill for more than ten years.

Larry was a man who loved the outdoors and treasured time with his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and playing blackjack, and had a deep appreciation for music. Above all, Larry cherished the moments spent with his loved ones, whether watching movies together or sharing laughter over a good joke.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, dedication, and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Larry is survived by his children: Crystal McNeely, Larry McNeely II, Bobby Faulkner, James Barton, Anthony Barton, Michael McNeely, Abbigayle Colbourne, sisters: Joni Blackwell, Lori McNeely, Kay Butterfield, Linda Ball, Sunny Phillips, Brother Michael McNeely, grandchildren: Nicholas Varner Jr., De'Shawn Pease, Faith Pichardo, Robert McNeely, Brady McNeely, Autumn McNeely, Anthony Faulkner, Keagan Faulkner, Katelyn Faulkner, Christian Faulkner, JJ Barton, Brittany Queen, Alyssa Walker, Alex Barton, as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, father, Shirly McNeely, mother, Ethel Umpir, wife, Sherry McNeely, Brother, David McNeely, Daughter, Destini Allen, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Barton.
