Age 75, Lawton - Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with full military honors. Mr. Batton died Wednesday at his home. He was born February 28, 1935 in Edenton, North Carolina to Jesse and Mabel (Tadlock) Batton. He served 21 years in the Air Force, retiring on June 1, 1976. He was employed by Civil Service as a surveyor for many years. He also sold cars and worked for Enterprise Rental for several years. He married Karen Taylor on November 26, 1980 in Lawton. He is survived by his wife of the home; three children, Victoria Rene Batton of Rochester, New York, Larry E. Batton, Jr. and his wife Elise of Purvis, Mississippi and Debra Batton Cain of Millington, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Catherine R. Wyble , Rebecca R. Wyble, Jesse L. Batton, Ashley A. Batton, Jennifer L. Batton, Rachel J. Batton and Martin A. Cusack; four great grandchildren, Jerimaih M. Jenner, Alora D. Cusack, Moriah C. Cusack and Jade K. Cusack; stepchildren, Vicki and her husband Daryl Stowe of Elgin, OK and Mark Champion of Geronimo, OK; a brother-in-law and his wife Jerry and Cindy Taylor of McKinney, Texas; an aunt, Mickey Patton of Wichita, Kansas; and several cousins in North Carolina.
