Age 77 - Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Joe Lonetree officiating. Mrs. Cowan died Tuesday in Houston. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born August 9, 1930 in Killeen, Texas. She married Arthur Vernon Cowan on August 29, 1946 in Temple, Texas. He died on July 6, 2000. They lived in Killeen and Copperas Cove until 1968 when they moved to Lawton. Survivors include her son, James Cowan and his wife Patsy of Magnolia, Texas; a daughter, Connie Cunningham of Harker Heights, Texas; a sister, Frances Reding and her husband Jerry of Copperas Cove, Texas; a sister Nancy Whitis of Killeen; sons-in-law Parker Watson and Randy Covert, both of Harker Heights; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Vernon Cowan; daughter Caren Frances Watson; parents Willie and Ione Conder; brother Charles D. Conder and son-in-law Ret. Major John Cunningham.
