Kyong Cha Yamashiro passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 78.  She was born on January 12, 1944 in Incheon, South Korea to Cho Suk Gu and Myong Sun Hwang. Kyong got married and moved to the United States in 1965 and obtained her U.S. citizenship. She loved socializing, shopping, and going out to eat with friends and family. She loved helping others and supported her church.

Kyong is survived by her two sisters, Hwa Cha Reeves of Kempner, Texas and Kang Sun Yi of Las Vegas, Nevada, two nieces, Ippi Elliott and husband Lawrence Lafrance of Cache, Oklahoma, and Cynthia Reeves of Lampasas, Texas, one nephew, James Elliott of San Angelo, Texas.

Kyong is preceded in death by her parents.
