Graveside service for Kenneth Vest, 94, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Monday, April 20, 2015 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. Mr. Vest died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Lawton. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. He was born February 1, 1921 in Wayne County, Illinois to George and Clara (Richardson) Vest. He married Ruth May Armstrong on December 20, 1959 in Raton, New Mexico. She died May 26, 1982. Mr. Vest was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1946. Following his discharge he raised and trained race horses. Survivors include his siblings, Neva Huxman, Ponte Vedra, Florida, Glenda Kuenstler, Olney, Illinois and Ila Frost, Tulsa and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Doc, Loyal, Richie and Harold and a sister, Sybil Longren.
