Funeral for Rev. Kenneth E. Hayes will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at First Baptist West with Harold Gaches, pastor and Dr. Bob Burch officiating.

Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the funeral home.

Rev. Kenneth E. Hayes, age 92, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Lawton. He was born May 6, 1923 in Elgin to Lyman and Eunice (Sims) Hayes. He married Naomi N. Garrett on March 31, 1946 in Medicine Park, Oklahoma. She died June 6, 2008. Rev. Hayes graduated from Cameron Agricultural College in 1944, Oklahoma Baptist University in 1958 and Southwest Seminary in 1962. He then worked with his father at Farm Bureau Insurance. He pastored Jefferson Baptist Church until 2012. He also taught photography at Vo Tech for twenty-two years. He was a member of First Baptist West and the Silver Haired Legislature from 1987 to 1989.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane Jordan and her husband James, Cache, granddaughter, Heather Whatley, Norman, grandson, Tyrel Whatley, Lawton, three great grandchildren, Hannah Kirschner and Daniel Kirschner, both of Katy, Texas and Sadie Wilkinson, Norman and a sister, Lavita Murray, Fletcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Neal Hayes.
