Funeral service for Keith Ledford will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in First Baptist East.
Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, Oklahoma, under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
Keith Ledford, 69, joined his heavenly father on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Keith entered the world on January 18, 1956, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Herman and Thelma "Maxine" (Holder) Ledford.
Growing up in Lawton with his siblings, Jan, Kent, and Keegan, Keith was no stranger to fun, mischief, and a little friendly competition. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1974. Ever the avid learner, he went on to attend Oklahoma State University before earning his bachelor's degree from Cameron University.
He married Martha Ann Taylor in Lawton in 1994, becoming a stepfather to her young son, TJ, and later, a proud father to their daughter, Taylor. Keith cared deeply for both children. The couple later divorced.
A skilled framer, Keith dedicated his career to carpentry and proudly owned and operated Keith Ledford Building Co. He was an active member of his Sunday school class at First Baptist East. He loved spending time with family and friends while hunting on the Holder Farm near Snyder. A devoted sports fan, he rarely missed a game and especially loved cheering on the OU Softball Team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, he spent many hours in the kitchen perfecting recipes and trying new cooking techniques. Always known as resourceful, Keith could make the most out of everything- rarely letting anything go to waste. He was always the grandpa on call-whether it was "running interference" to give Taylor a break or just being present-but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Conner Daniel; his step-son, TJ Burkey; grandsons, Ripp and Tuff Daniel; his sister, Jan Spannagel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kent and Rebecca Ledford and Keegan and Bonnie Ledford; and nieces and nephews, Carie Spannagel, Chad Spannagel, Morgan Ledford, Courtney Ledford and Jacob Ledford; and former wife Martha Ann Taylor.
His parents and a brother-in-law, Alvah "Alvie" Spannagel, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist East, 3302 SE Lee Blvd, Lawton, OK 73501 or to the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation, P.O. Box 53488, Oklahoma City, OK 73152.
