Age 73, Lawton - Graveside service will be 9:00 AM Tuesday in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, with Gerald Green, Assistant Chaplain, Lawton/Fort Sill Veterans Center, officiating. Mr. Cox died Friday in Oklahoma City. Burial with Marine Corps honors will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. He was born on September 22, 1935 in Enid to Ellsworth and Nettie (Solts) Cox. He grew up in Enid and graduated high school there. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1955. He worked various jobs and moved to Lawton in 2003. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his brother, Ralph Cox, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Cox, and a niece, Lee Brown and her husband, Robert. He was preceded in death by his son, Jett Leon Cox, and five brothers and sisters.
