The sun rose for Kathryn Harper Vitense on April 5, 2017 and set on December 13, 2017. Her smile and giggles would light up a room. Despite having a heart defect she was a happy, smiling and bright, shining star to everyone that met her. To look at her you would have never known that she was born with a broken heart. She will forever hold a special place in so many hearts. Not only for her family and friends, but also to the medical staff that dedicated hours to trying to find the best plan to save her. Her family will be forever grateful to the staff at OU Children's Hospital for showing them and their precious little girl the love and support that they did in the short time that Kathryn blessed us here on this earth.
