Kathryn Jane Bittle (McFarland) passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born in Lawton, Oklahoma October 2, 1954 to Allen & Shirley (Caldwell) McFarland. She was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and in 2020, Kathy retired from a career of over 30 years at Allstate Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her father, Allen McFarland, and by her mother, Shirley Laine and stepfather, Joseph "Jay" Laine.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of over 35 years, Sam Bittle of Lawton, Oklahoma, two children: Sarah (Brad) Billheimer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Joshua Pulley of Lawton, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Bittle of Edmond, Oklahoma and Dawn (Eric) Barnes of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers: David (Susan) McFarland of Marlow, Oklahoma; Mark (Terri) McFarland of Austin, Texas; and Robert (Terri) McFarland, of Duncan, Oklahoma; and nine grandchildren, who were her absolute pride and joy: Natalie, Mollie, and Graham Billheimer, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Gavin Eimers and Zane Pulley of Lawton, Oklahoma; Ethan Bellman, Connor and Gabriel Adames, and Ryker Barnes of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Throughout her entire life, Kathy was a faithful servant of her Lord. In Romans 12:10, the apostle Paul encourages his brethren to "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." Kathy was the most devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother "Nonny" that a person could ask for. She loved every member of her family fiercely, and she spent her life selflessly pouring herself out for others. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith. After a four-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease, she will be missed more than words can express, and we find immeasurable comfort in the knowledge that she is now freed from her disease and rejoicing with her Savior.
