Funeral service for Kathlene Priscilla Niebruegge, 95, Mountain Park, will be at 1:30 pm Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Snyder First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Tim Richardson and Gary Lumpkin, both of Edmond, Oklahoma officiating. Mrs. Niebruegge passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 in a Lawton hospital. The family will greet friends Thursday evening, December 27, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home in Snyder. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. She was born September 5, 1917 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Sam and Elva Martin. She married Roy Niebruegge on February 7, 1941 in Snyder, Oklahoma. He died May 9, 2003. She lived on the family farm east of Mountain Park from 1941 until September 2009, when she moved to BrookRidge Assisted Living in Lawton, Oklahoma. Kathlene graduated from Snyder High School and Southwestern State College in Weatherford. She taught school in Hobart, Mountain Park, Snyder and Lawton throughout her career. Her love for math and teaching never died and she talked often of the students she had taught throughout the years. However, her love for the farm and working with Roy on the farm and with custom wheat and corn harvest surpassed her love for teaching. Her greatest pride was her family whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her son Kenneth and his wife Cathy of Mountain Park, OK, daughter Carolyn May and her husband Mike of Manassas, Virginia, grandchildren Amber Niebruegge of Mountain Park, OK, Karen May Musselman and husband Mark of Manassas, Virginia, Kevin May and wife Brenda of Marietta, Georgia, great grandchildren, Paige Musselman of Manassas, Virginia, Reagan and Parker May of Marietta, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, a sister Sam Lumpkin and great grandchildren Kylie and Jayden Musselman.
