Funeral service for Karolyn Sue Anders will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Arena Cowboy Church north of Lawton, Oklahoma (7323 NW Wolf Road) with David McGhghy, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Karolyn Anders, 80, of Lawton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 29, 2024. She was born August 23, 1943 in Rockford, Illinois to Leslie and Virginia I. (Fischer) Scott. The daughter of a professional soldier, Karolyn lived in eight states and one foreign country before graduating from Junction City High School in Kansas in 1962.

Karolyn married the love of her life CW4 (Retired) William "Bill" Anders in Junction City on August 27, 1966.  To this marriage were born two sons, Scott and Tyler, and a daughter, Melissa.  Karolyn was employed by the city of Lawton in the Parks and Recreation Division for over 20 years.  In her spare time, she kept busy volunteering with many organizations including the Pioneer Women, Redcoat Ambassadors, and Beta Sigma Phi just to name a few.

She is survived by her husband, Bill of the home; son, Scott and wife Denise; daughter, Melissa and David; brother, Leslie B. and wife Susan G.; brother, Dale F. and wife Susan C.; sister, Deborah; grandchildren, Evan, Judson, and Chayse; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless other relatives.

Karolyn was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tyler, niece, Christina, and brother-in-law, Robert.

She was a special woman who loved serving her community, but most of all, she loved her family, particularly her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Karolyn and her generosity to the community.
