Funeral for Karin Michelle Kriz, 51, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Al Potts, pastor officiating. Karin passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Karin was born on April 11, 1961 in Lawton, OK to Jim and Betty (Lewis) Kriz. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1979. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. While attending OSU she was an active member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She went on to receive a Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University Law School and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Oklahoma until she retired in 2006. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Lawton. She was a travel enthusiast and loved to cruise with her family. Karin is survived by her mother, Betty Kriz; brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Donna Kriz; a nephew Dustin Kriz and wife Jennifer; a niece Kourtney and husband Ryan Aller; two great-nephews Noah and Nathan Aller who were the joys of her life; and numerous other special relatives.
