Kae Lynne (Wilson) Bacani
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kae Bacani. She passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026 after a long, courageous battle with COPD, with her beloved cat, Shadow, lying faithfully by her side. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. Kae was born on April 6, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Richard Earl Wilson and Ramona Lee (Henderson) Wilson. She grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Eldorado High School in 1976. She then began attending New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she met Lief Gregory Stratmoen and shared 20 years of marriage. Kae became an Army wife and lived in Germany with her husband and children. Later on, they were stationed at Fort. Sill, OK where she also graduated from Cameron University with a bachelor's degree. Later, she built a beautiful life alongside Jimmy Quijano Bacani. Above all, her greatest joy was her family; she was a devoted mother to her four children, grandmother to her two grandchildren, and mother to her multiple fur babies. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, remembered for her passion for music—specifically singing and playing the handbells—her joy in crafting, stickers and puzzles, and her 20-plus years of dedication as a substitute teacher. She was known for her love of God as she was a member of First United Methodist Church and Lawton Heights Methodist Church. She was a legacy member of The Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Optimist Club. She loved researching her genealogy and riding motorcycles across the Texoma area. Kae was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother (Reid Wilson). She is survived by her children, Evelyn Stratmoen, Barbara Tipps and Chris Tipps, Will Stratmoen, and Hannah Michelle Bacani Garner and Tyler Garner, her grandchildren, Kylee Anderson and Hunter Tipps, her brothers, Craig Wilson and Jason Wilson, and her life partner, Joseph "Shade" Palinkas III. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2026 . The memorial service will follow at First United Methodist Church of Lawton at 2:00 PM.
