Graveside service for Junior Gordon Coley will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Junior Gordon Coley, 89, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Lawton after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1936, in Geronimo, Oklahoma, to Loys V. and Ruby (Self) Coley. Because of his father's work as a pipefitter, the family moved often, and Junior eventually graduated from high school in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
A dedicated electrician for 65 years, Junior was a proud and faithful member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He spent about 35 years with Industrial Electric in Lawton before founding his own company, Westside Electric, which he operated for a decade prior to retiring.
On September 12, 1970, Junior married Isabelle L. (Cantler) Everett, and together they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Junior enjoyed tinkering and repurposing materials, always finding creative new uses and avoiding waste. He loved time with family, as well as bird hunting, fishing, and relaxing at the lake.
Junior will be remembered for his strong work ethic, inventive spirit, and the quiet joy he found in both his craft and his loved ones.
Junior is survived by his wife of the home, five children, Michael Everett and wife Karen of Wellston, Oklahoma, Terry Coley and wife Julia of Cumming, Georgia, Gary Coley and wife Teresa of DeWitt, Arkansas, Doreen Fischer and husband Tim of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Susan Thomas and husband Mike of Lawton, Oklahoma, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Kevin Everett, two granddaughters, and one brother.
