A Celebration of Life Service for Joy May Driggers will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 in First Baptist East with Rev. Doug Passmore, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Friends may greet the family beginning 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Joy May Driggers, age 79, Lawton, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Lawton.  Joy was born on January 19, 1938 in Lawton, OK to Harry and Iva Brooks (Thompson). Her birth mother died in childbirth and she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Gladys and Alva McCraw.

She taught in the Lawton public schools for 33 years. She started playing the piano for Northside Baptist Church at age 14 and later played for Calvary Baptist Church for over 40 years. She loved playing for others including at local nursing homes, weddings, and numerous other occasions.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Driggers of Fort Worth, TX; niece Teresa Garner of Tulsa, OK, nephew Kevin McCraw of Tulsa, sister-in-law Etta Lee Brooks of Arlington, TX and nephews Steve Brooks of Arlington, TX and Gary Brooks of Lawton.
