Age 76, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. David King, Pastor officiating. Mr. Hunt died Saturday in a Lawton hospital. Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born May 31, 1933 in Lawton to George Washington and Zora (Kirkes) Hunt. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1951, and served in the US Army from 1956 until 1958. He married Queva June Churchwell on February 21, 1960 in Walters. Together they were active in the Sooner Classic and Indian Territory Packard Car Clubs. He retired from Fort Sill Transportation in 1995. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served in the Clothes Closet and Bus Ministries. He is survived by his wife of the home, son Ron Hunt of Lawton, daughter Rhonda and husband Nick Hutchins of Lawton, brother Bobby Hunt of Lawton, two sisters, Dorothy Kensell of Lawton, Nancy Herritt of Lawton, five grandchildren, Austin Stoner of Lawton, Darla Hunt of Ozark, AL, Brandon Hutchins of Mountain Home, ID, Jonathan Hutchins of Lawton, Austin Hutchins of Lawton, two great grandchildren, Savannah Hutchins of Wynne, AR and Brayden Hutchins of Wynne, AR. He was also survived by a special niece, Ehmy Hunt of the home, and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Georgia Kirkpatrick and a brother Billy Hunt.
