Graveside service for Johnnie V. Ogilbee will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Duncan City Cemetery with Dr. Patrick Latham, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Mrs. Ogilbee passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior in her sleep at home in the care of her children on August 14, 2015 at the age of one hundred years and eleven months. Johnnie was born September 16, 1914 in Newsome, TX to John P. Sanders, and Fred Parr. She was one of nine children born to this marriage. She moved to Oklahoma in 1919, from East Texas, walking most of the way with her brothers and sisters. The family settled in Dixie, Oklahoma where she attended school and graduated high school at Mountain Home. On December 24, 1934, Johnnie married Alvin "Red" Ogilbee the love of her life at Temple OK. To this union two children were born, daughter Zedith Ann, son and John P. She moved to Lawton in 1954, and has been a residence here since. Johnnie joined the First Baptist Church Lawton in 1954, and has been a member for over 60 years. Johnnie is survived by her daughter, Zedith Ann, her son John P., her grandson Jason and his wife Lisa, and three great grandsons, Carson, Luke, and Gavin, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who so loved and cherished her. Her two cats will miss coming to the window and reminding her that it is meal time. Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, her parents, and all her brothers and sisters. The family wishes to thank the many family members and friends who visited and prayed with her, in particular her "visiting angle", Peggy. The family requests any memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church Lawton for the Senior Citizen Outreach Program.
