Johnna was born on March 27, 1941 to Milo and Jean Gordon in Woodward, Oklahoma. She attended Wilson Elementary School, where she made lifelong friends she still met with regularly. Johnna attended Central Junior High, and she graduated from Lawton High School in 1959.
Soon after graduation, Johnna married Buster Wyatt Jr., and together they welcomed three children: Todd, Mitchell, and Shana. Though their paths eventually diverged, they remained lifelong friends. Later, Johnna married the love of her life, Wayne Parks, who brought with him his son, Floyd Gene Parks, a cherished brother to the family.
Johnna began her professional career at J. Wiley Richardson's Flowers & Gifts, where she discovered her passion for flowers and plants. Over the years, she worked at City National Bank and Mutual of Omaha. She realized her dream, opening Johnna's Living Plants, where she fulfilled her passion. After the children had grown, life took another turn, and Johnna and Wayne moved to Houston, where Johnna worked successfully at Chico's, fulfilling another passion - clothes! She had a flair for fashion and could always be found in the latest styles. Johnna and Wayne loved their time in Houston but were thankful when they were able to move back to the place she cherished most, Lawton, where she could be with her family and friends.
Johnna lived a life filled with passion, from her favorite hobby of shopping to reading the latest books. She loved spending time with her friends and loved to simply "go", anywhere, any time. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi, Junior Service League, and Knit Wits. She faithfully attended her Bible study at NewHaven. She enjoyed going to Bridge and being part of the Little Lake Book Club though it was the friendships of these clubs that lead her heart to the activities.
Above all, Johnna's heart belonged to her family - her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Koda. You were sure to hear about one of these in any conversation you had with her. To her family, she was Grandma Johnna, JJ, or MiMi - each name said with love and joy. Her sparkle will forever shine through the lives of those she cherished most.
Johnna is survived by her children: Todd Wyatt and wife Liz, Mitchell Wyatt and wife Perri Ann, Shana Kozeny and husband Larry; and Floyd Eugene Parks and wife Alyssa, grandchildren: Allison Anderson (Clay), Brady Wyatt (Becca), Brooke Rooney (Taylor), Taylor Watson (Evan), Wyatt Horton (Katy), Haley Parks (fiance Doyle LaRosh), Lunden Simpson (Montana), Keera Titus (J.D.), Landen Sennett, and Kayleigh Sennett, and her great-grandchildren: Milo Wyatt, Lily Wyatt, Allie Kate Anderson, Quinn Rooney, Clayre Anderson, Mack Watson, Slayton Simpson, Hayes Horton, Saige Simpson, Ramsey Watson, Stormi Simpson, and Parks Horton. Johnna is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ann Gordon; her niece, Krista Gordon Eschler and husband Dan Ray; and her great-nephew and niece, Jake (fiancée Hannah Phelps) and Emma Eschler, and great-nephew, Michael Gordon; and her cousin, Donna Pickett and family.
The family sincerely appreciates the love and support of so many close friends. We would especially like to thank the kindness and great care she received from her loving "village" who made it possible for her to stay home including her niece, Dr. Krista Gordon; her dear friend, Hillary Neil, and Janice Smith, and many family members from children to great-grandchild; and her pastor, Chad Fetzer, who provided comfort with countless prayers and words of encouragement.
Our lives are forever brighter for having known Johnna. Though her absence leaves an unfilled void, her sparkle will live on in the memories and everlasting love we shared.
Memorial contributions may be made to the NewHaven Church, P.O. Box 185, Lawton, OK 73502.
