Private family memorial service for John Frantz Johnston will be held at a later date.

John Frantz Johnston, 69, Snyder passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at his home in Snyder.  He was born December 11, 1950 in Erick, Oklahoma to Coyt Edward and Leatrice Joy (Hinchey) Johnston. He graduated from Altus High School in 1969.  John worked as a carpenter for several years before attending college in Missouri where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling.  He then spent his time working as a counselor and director for substance abuse clinics in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Oklahoma City.  His passion was building, riding and selling custom Harley Davidson Motorcycles with his brother Pete.

Survivors include his parents Coyt and Wilma Johnston of Snyder, his son Shawn Henry Johnston of Fairbanks, Alaska,  2 brothers; Pete Johnston and wife Annette of Lawton, Randall Johnston and wife Tracy of Dallas, Texas, 2 sisters; Devon Johnston of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Patti Mountford and husband Ray of Snyder, his rescue puppy of 4 years, Maggie Mae and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother Leatrice Joy Johnston and his grandparents.
