John L. "Jack" McGurk, age 86, of Lawton, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Oklahoma City.

Jack lived an exciting extraordinary life to the very end. His journey found him travelling to many nations leaving behind a legacy of excellent work especially in the field of labor relations. Many lives were greatly impacted by his great "one of a kind" mind but more importantly by his big heart. Jack was certainly most proud of his honesty in the way he ran his business and in the way he served needs of every employee under his care.

More important than his great work was his legacy of genuine giving, his deep love for family and his unending love for God. His family was his greatest passion. Jack would often say that Cindy his wife was the only woman on the earth that could've handled him. Their love story was epic to the end. His love for his children was indescribable. He did everything in his capacity to push them towards their full potential and greatness. Jack was an amazing father his children could always trust.

At the end of every day, Jack lifted up a prayer asking the Lord to place someone he could help in front of him every day. Truly, he would never ignore anyone in need. He believed that he was BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING.

Jack is survived by his amazing wife Cynthia, his son Daniel and his wife Sylvia, his daughter Kelly Erin, his daughter Debbie and her husband Earl; four grandchildren Angela, Amy, Gabriella and Michael; two great grandchildren Caden and Isabella. He is also survived by a large extended family in the Philippines as well as across the nations of the world comprised of relatives as well as very dear friends who love him very much.

Today, we thank God for Jack's life. With all our hearts, we honor Jack for his remarkable legacy.
