John A. Fitzsimmons, Jr., 81, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Montevista Nursing Home. John suffered for years with multiple health issues. He is no longer in pain and is at peace.

There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

John was born on March 5, 1942, to John A. Fitzsimmons, Sr. and Floy Mary Weger Fitzsimmons. A life long Lawtonian, John attended Lawton schools and was a "Grease Monkey." He was a great mechanic and a certified Jaguar repairman. He worked at various businesses around town including Mathis May and the Booker Family.

John loved his family and his extended family. He tolerated me because I ruined his plans and hopes to be an "only child."

John is survived by his sister, Sandra Warren, brother-in-law, Glen, Aunt Frances Weger, and his cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Thurmon and Cora Lee (Perry) Weger, John Winston Fitzsimmons and Mable Ratchford, aunts and uncles: Perry and Bertha Weger, Forrest and Dorothy Weger, Wilburn Weger, Jacob and Quincey Weger, Faye and D.C. Parks, and many cousins.
