Funeral service for Gunnery Sergeant John G. Cordero, 34, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Frontier Chapel Center, Fort Sill, with Chaplain (MAJ) Martha Carson, officiating. GySgt Cordero died Sunday at his home. He was born May 10, 1973 in Hilo, Hawaii to John Emerson Thomas and Nora Cordero. He married Tonya Lynn Grogg on August 28, 1993 in Moline, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Tristan Cordero; his father and step-mother, John & Rhonda Thomas of Hemet, California; a half sister, Ashley Thomas of Hemet, California; and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. His mother and brother, Dino Cordero preceded him in death.
