Funeral for Joan Young will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delbert Hughes, pastor, Lighthouse Church of God officiating.

Burial will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Joan Young, age 76, Lawton passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in a Lawton hospital.  Joan was born August 22, 1940 in Lawton to Zola and Urcel Myers.  She was the third oldest of six children.  She married Bill Young on August 13, 1955 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Joan was a devout Christian woman, raising her children and grandchildren in the ways of her Lord through all of her days.  Even as her physical capabilities became limited, her perseverance to continue to praise Our Lord never diminished.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Donna Martinez and husband George, Billy and wife Cheryl, Gina Plumley and husband Jim; her sisters, Bernell, Imogene and Pat; grandchildren including Stephanie Boggs, Steven Young, Dustin Thomas, Jason Plumley, Cody Plumley and Jennifer Plumley; five great grandchildren along with numerous family and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles and sister Chris.
