Joan Dorothy Watson passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

Joan was born December 20, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Ruth (Bechtold) Scharff. She married Herman A. Watson on December 23, 1957 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Herman passed away on May 3, 2012 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Joan was a military wife who traveled with her husband wherever duty called. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star #82 and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by one daughter, Linda Brierly and husband Wendell of Reno, Nevada, two granddaughters, Michelle Owens and husband Ron of Reno, Nevada and Stacy Mason and husband Jesse of Truckee, California, ten great grandchildren, Abbey Mason, Beth Mason, Catie Mason, Dani Mason, Josh Mason, Ellie Mason, Trey Owens, Maya Owens, Jada Owens, and Sean Owens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Donald Scharff and one sister, Jean Scharff.
