Quilla Jo Jennings died peacefully at home on October 18, 2019.  Jo was born on August 7, 1934 in Faxon, OK to Melvin M. Jennings, Sr. and Mary Mae Farris Jennings.  The family moved to Lawton in 1945 where Jo graduated from Lawton High School in 1953.  Jo and her beloved mother operated a ceramic and china shop in the backyard where many long-time and cherished friends gathered often to share stories and create hand-made treasures and gifts.  Along the way, Jo became a talented oil painter as well.  Later, Jo graduated from cosmetology school and the ceramic shop was expanded to include Jodie's Beauty Salon.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Melvin Jennings Jr. and Pete Jennings of Lawton; sisters Ann Williams of Lawton and Mary Gudinas of Austin, TX; and nephew Richard Williams of Oklahoma City.

Jo is survived by sisters-in-law Anna Jennings and Eva Jennings of Lawton; nephews David Jennings (Anne) of Stafford, VA, Charles Williams (Martha) of Norman, OK; nieces Karen Scott, Mikel Hill (Clyde) and Janna Jennings all of Lawton and Cheri Jennings of Houston, TX.  Last but not least, her pride and joy, Shih Tzu, Sadie and many wonderful friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jo's name to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization.
