Memorial Service for J.M. Vazquez, 48, of Lawton will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jim Coe officiating.

Burial will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Joseph Michael Vazquez was born June 21, 1978, to Jose and Anne (Barrell) Vazquez in Lawton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Lawton High in 1997 and began his military service on February 25, 1998. J.M. was deployed to Egypt while active duty and served in the Reserves until February of 2006.

After his active duty career, J.M. worked as a cement truck driver and tree service specialist. J.M. will be remembered as a "big kid" who loved his children dearly and would do anything for them.

He is survived by his children, Anthony Chase, Jocelynn Marie, Faith, and Jimmy; father, Jose Vazquez; sister, Nina and husband Daniel F. Demeties; nephew, Daniel Ryan Demeties; nieces, Malie and Izabela Demeties; five aunts; and many cousins.

J.M. was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Vazquez.
