Jerry Don Wimple, 71, Snyder passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Snyder.  He was born June 4, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Harold Andrew and Una Maxine (Boren) Wimple.  He graduated from Snyder High School in 1967 and started college soon thereafter.  With his impending draft into the US Army, Jerry joined the Air Force in 1968 with dreams of being a pilot and flying.  But the Air Force had other plans for him, and he was placed in priority and was stationed in Turkey for 4 years.  He was honorably discharged in 1972 and decided to work in commercial banking.  He worked and traveled with the banking business, but was burned out after 20 years.  He decided to come back home in 1992, where he restored and built automobiles until his sickness changed his life.  He had no warning of his sickness until late in the year of 2019.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Maxine Hargrove, his uncle Bob Boren and wife Glenda and his aunt Jayne Castellenos.  Jerry leaves behind many friends and associates from all areas.  He will be greatly missed and remembered.

He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Diane Wimple, grandparents Mance and Artrue Boren, his father Harold Wimple and his uncle Jack Boren and wife Maudine.
