Funeral services for former Fletcher resident Jerry Don Williams, 69, Chickasha, will be 2:00 pm Monday, August 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Fletcher with Rev. Rodney Campbell, pastor and Troy Taylor, pastor, First Baptist Church, Verdon, officiating. Mr. Williams died Thursday, August 22nd at his home. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 pm to 5 pm at the funeral home. He was born on leap day, February 29, 1944 in Fletcher to Luther Baskum "Bud" and Martha Ellen (Sanders) Williams. He received his Master's degree in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University. He taught chemistry at Barnsdall High School and Chickasha High School. He was employed by Halliburton until his retirement. He was baptized at First Baptist Church of Fletcher as a child, and he was a current member of College Heights Baptist Church in Chickasha. He was formerly married to Karen Brock and they had two sons. Survivors include his sons, Jeff Williams, Norman and Randy Williams, Chickasha; three grandchildren, Taylor Williams, Karson Williams and Payton Williams; a brother, Mike and his wife Julie Williams, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Ann and husband Michael Beadles, Lawton and Laura Wray, Chickasha; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clyde Luther Williams and a great nephew, William Jeremy Beadles.
