Memorial service for Jerry Dale Moore will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Jared Byrns, pastor officiating.

Jerry Dale Moore, 83, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Lawton with his family at his side. He was born May 25, 1940 in Natalia, Texas to Henry G. and Ethel Irene (Griggs) Moore. Jerry married Patricia Ward on April 18, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma. They had been married for 64 years. Jerry was self employed in the construction business most of his life owning and operating Lawton Remodeling.

Jerry's profound love for fishing and his serene moments out on the lake brought him immeasurable joy. Those cherished times spent with his children and grandchildren in the boat not only created lasting memories but also instilled within them a deep appreciation for the water. His presence at fish fries and cookouts strengthened family bonds, as he reveled in the company of loved ones.

His passion for travel was evident in the numerous adventures he embarked upon, often accompanied by his enthusiastic grandchildren. Journeys across the country, with Florida as a frequent destination, followed scenic routes that led them to iconic places like the Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Death Valley, Salt Lake City, and many trips to Branson—each visit etching unforgettable experiences into their hearts.

Jerry and Pat's unwavering involvement in the lives of their grandkids underscored their profound commitment to family. Jerry's loyalty to his teams, the Sooners, and the Dallas Cowboys, was unwavering. Whether cheering from the stands or in front of the TV, his passion for their victories was palpable.

As we bid farewell to Jerry, let us remember the legacy of love, togetherness, and dedication he leaves behind. In our hearts, his spirit will forever sail on the tranquil waters he so adored.

Jerry is survived by his wife of the home. Jerry and Pat left a legacy that consists of Nelson Moore and wife Karrie of Geronimo, Oklahoma, Dale Moore and wife Evelyn of Lawton, Wesley Moore of Lawton, Brent Moore of Medicine Park, Cheryll Priest and husband Kenneth of Indiahoma, Steve Moore and wife Amanda of Lawton, one brother, Hershel Moore of Faxon, 12 grandkids, 15 great-grandkids and two great-great-grandkids.

Jerry was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Jean Moore, one sister, Shirley Myers, and three brothers Herman, Wayne, Travis Moore, and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen J. "Kathy" (O'Malley) Moore.
