Age 59, Snyder - Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 5, at the First Baptist Church of Snyder with Jessie Forrest, chaplain for Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, officiating. Mr. Michael died Thursday at his home. Burial with military honors will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. He was born May 22, 1949 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Weldon Franklin and Wanda Jean (Flowers) Michael. He was inducted into the Army after high school and served in Vietnam. He was self employed as a carpenter. Survivors include his father of Snyder; 7 children, Shelby Parker of Wichita Falls, TX, Jo Shea Crites and Jerry Jay Michael both of Tipton, OK, Ruben Scabby of Manitou, OK, Shelia "Michael" Scabby and Stephanie Michael both of Snyder and Amy Key of Wichita Falls, TX; and 4 sisters, Mary Tucker of Dallas, TX, Judy Herring of Tipton, OK, Rita Linsley of Lewisville, TX and Sue McCloud of Dean, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother.
