Memorial service for Jerry Mac Lester, 74, Lawton will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, North of Lawton. Jerry died Saturday, December 28 at his home. Interment will be in the Paradise Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Jerry was born May 26, 1939 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Wilson and Edith (Reeder) Lester. He grew up in the Cooperton Community where he played on their basketball team. He served for a time in the Army Reserves. Jerry was an accomplished pianist who could play by ear. He had been the sales manager for Clinton Herring Lincoln Mercury for many years. He married Carolyn Turner on December 15, 1992 in Waco, Texas. He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Greg Lester and his wife Mary, Hobart, and Barry Lester, Gotebo; four stepsons and their wives, Scott Rountree and Sharon, Bluff Dale, Texas, Ross Rountree and Jennifer, Austin, Texas, Chuck Brown and Kim and Frank Riley and Melanie, all of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Pearl and her husband Dayton McPhail, Chris Lester and his wife Natasha, Brandon Lester, Dalton Lester, Gavin Rountree, Olivia Rountree and Grace Rountree; five great grandchildren; a brother, Don Lester and his wife Marilyn, Broken Bow, Oklahoma; four aunts; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Lynn Lester.
