Graveside service for Jerry D. (J.D.) Yow, 47, Garland, Texas will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brian Bodendieck officiating. Mr. Yow died Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Garland, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. He was born June 24, 1967 in Lawton to Jerry L. and Bertha F. (Rich) Yow. He married Wendy S. Hopsecger on May 7, 2011 in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Yow worked for Continental Electronics Corporation in Dallas, Texas. He loved fishing, boating, video games, paint ball, gardening, riding his Harley and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Charlie Diaz, Garland, Texas, son Jerrad Yow, Lewisville, Texas, mother, Bertha Yow, Paris, Texas, sister, Darlene K. May, El Paso, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Kevin D. and Julie Yow, San Diego, California, grandmother, Freda Shehorne, Lawton, step son, Michael Hopsecger, Corry, Pennsylvania and four nephews, Andrew May and Justin May, both of South Lion, Michigan and Kaden E. Yow and Kollin E. Yow, both of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Dawne Yow.
