Age 71, Sterling - Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Sterling with her grandson Rev. Billy Pate, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, Burkburnett, TX, and Rev. Becky Baxtor-Ballou, Pastor of the Aldersgate Redemption Church, United Methodist Church, Lawton, OK, officiating. Mrs. Holt died December 25, 2009, Christmas Day after a ten year battle with cancer. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery, Sterling, under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher (Formerly Robbins Funeral Home). She was born August 27, 1938 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Walter and Anna Mae (Pritchett) Ward. She married Alfred Holt on February 8, 1955 in Lawton. She was a homemaker, home health aide and worked in the restaurant business. She cared for the Sterling Community, and family and friends through visitation and delivery of home cooked goods. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Alfred of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law, Brinda Thompson and husband Jerry of Moore, OK, Judy Dalrymple and husband Leland of Rush Springs, OK, two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronny Holt and wife Connie of Sterling, Robert Holt and wife Becky of Cache, OK, 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Anna Mae Snider and step-father Bill Snider of Sterling, her father Walter Ward of Lindsay, twin brother Larry Ward of Sterling, a son Alfred Gene Holt of Dupo, IL.
