Age 61, Lawton - Memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Gilson died Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. Mr. Gilson was born August 31, 1947 in Lawton to Margaret and Barney Kelley. He was adopted by Tony Gilson at the age of six. He married Betty L. Kissner on May 17, 1989 in Amarillo, Texas Mr. Gilson was a police officer in Amarillo in the 1970's. They moved to Lawton where he was a car salesman for many years. He also owned his own car business. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, of the home, five children and their spouses, Kristien and Mark Gillaspy, Amarillo, Texas, Brandi Maurer, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brandon Gilson, Enid, Oklahoma, James Gilson, Edmond, Oklahoma and Melissa Kissner and her husband Dan, Norman, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Madelyn, Natalie, Victoria, Harrison and Austin, his mother, Margaret Carr, Edmond, a sister, Connie Kinder and her husband Johnnie, Lawton, and a nephew, Jay Kinder, Lawton.
