Funeral service for Jeanie V. Dunn, 83, Lawton will be at 1:30 pm Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Samuels, Pastor of Greater Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, TX officiating. Jeanie passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Wichita Falls, TX. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born December 1, 1931 in Paris, TX to Edward and Mae Bell (Smith) Patterson. She married Frank Dunn in Oklahoma CIty in 1950. He died in 1959. Together they had four children, Frank Dunn, Jr., Mary Elizabeth Dunn, Kenneth Ray Dunn and Melvin Wayne Dunn. She worked as a chef for many years. Jeanie lived in Colorado City, TX, Portland, OR and finally settled in Odessa, TX. She moved back to Colorado City in 1976 to take care of her mother until she passed away. She then moved to Lawton to be close to her father and sister, Edward Patterson and Troy Johnson until her death. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Love You Momma. She is survived by her best friend and cousin, Nettie Sue Smith of Odessa, TX, three sons, Frank and Myrtle Dunn of Fort Worth, TX, Kenneth and Juanita Dunn of Lawton, OK, Melvin Dunn of Lawton, OK, six grandchildren, Ytwan Dunn of Chattanooga, TN, Nisha Dunn of Millen, GA, Nitika Dunn of Millen, GA, Daniel Rankin of Phoenix, AZ and Elijah Binford, Lawton; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her daughter and sister.
