Age 70, Fletcher - Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at the Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher Chapel (formerly Robbins Funeral Home) with Rev. Glenn McGee, pastor of Rivers of Life Family Church in Duncan officiating. Mrs. High died Friday in Marlow. Burial will be in Sterling Cemetery. She was born January 31, 1939 in Apache to Clarence and Minnie (Owen) Yates. She grew up in Fletcher. She graduated from Fletcher High School and Cameron University. She married Gerald W. High on August 29, 1958 in Sterling. He died August 23, 2006. Mrs. High was a teacher with Lawton Public Schools for twenty years. She retired in 1994. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and was a Baptist. Survivors include two daughters; Sherry Gibson and her husband Phillip, Sterling, and MaryAnn Webb, Oklahoma City, four grandchildren; Lindsay Davis and her husband Brian, Midwest City, Ben Gibson, Sterling, Jessica Webb and Aubrey Webb, both of Oklahoma City, a great grandson; Braxton Davis, Midwest City, a sister; Peggy Whitlock and her husband Bob, Fletcher and a brother; Jeff Yates and his wife Barbara, Oklahoma City and a sister-in-law, Elaine Yates Nix, Fletcher. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother; Bruce Yates.
