Age 86, Wichita Falls, Texas - Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home of Fletcher Chapel (formerly Robbins Funeral Home Chapel) with Rev. A. L. Swagerty officiating. Mr. Holder died Monday in a Wichita Falls care center. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery. He was born June 27, 1923 in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma to Roy and Nellie Maggie (Andres) Holder. He moved to the Elgin area in 1929 where he attended Stony Point and Beaver Valley Schools and graduated from Elgin High School in 1941. He married Vera Mae Baker on October 5, 1942 in Elgin. She died June 7, 1998. Mr. Holder moved to California in 1943 where he attended college. He taught physics in junior college in Los Angeles City School District. He moved to Fletcher in 1967, where he served as municipal judge from 1968 to 1970. He lived in Missouri from 1970 to 1974 and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1974. He was a design engineer for Washex Machine Corporation in Wichita Falls for many years. Survivors include a son; Charles Wayne Holder, Palmdale, California, two daughters and their spouses; Charlotte L. and Joel Spell, Wichita Falls and Karen Ann and Pedro Martinez, Garland, Texas, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife and a brother; Edgar Thomas Holder.
