Jauauna Durham Hartman Garrison, 84 of Lawton, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023.  She was born February 23, 1939, in Hobart, Oklahoma to JD and Pauline (Walker) Durham.  She was the oldest of four children.  Her parents moved to Lawton where she met and married Charles Hartman on September 25, 1952 in Lawton.  He preceded her in death on January 8, 1988.  With this union they had two daughters, Jacquelyn (Jackye) and Tamrah (Tami).  In the 36 years of their marriage, before Charles "Home Going", Jauauna held many positions in her church.  She was president of the Women's Auxiliary, played the piano/organ during worship, and would sing specials with her two sisters.  Later, Jackye joined them.  Jauauna was self-taught on the piano and organ, and later in life took piano lessons to learn to read music.  She loved music and would play the piano and sing when given the opportunity.  She was a counselor for kids and Jr/Sr camps.  She also worked in the kitchen and held Bible studies for the women at camp meetings.  They were Christian Education Directors of the West Oklahoma Conference, and directed the "Impact Team", where they would travel to different churches with the youth in the conference and minister through singing.  When her girls were younger, Jauauna sold Tupperware and was named top seller in Oklahoma.  She organized meals for the fire departments where her husband worked during the holidays.  She and Charles moved the family to Duncan, Oklahoma to be assistant directors of Teen Round-up.  They eventually moved back to Lawton where she continued to serve in many areas of the church.  She led kids Vacation Bible School in the mornings and Teen Blast for the youth at night for her church Eternal Light Pentecostal Holiness Church and other churches.  Her service through God was widespread and she touched the lives of so many through her ministry.  She loved spending time with her sisters.  When they weren't getting into mischief, they were sewing, crafting, singing, cooking or antique shopping.  Together they planned and decorated the weddings of all the girls in the family.  After Charles "Home Going", she enjoyed staying home to spend time with her grandchildren; Andrea (Baker) Kulsrud, Jennifer Baker, Rafael, Charles and Nicholas Macias.  She worked as a secretary of her church and loved to travel to Branson.  God brought into her life, Rev. Otis (Chuck) Garrison, whom she later married on May 25, 1996.  She inherited two more daughters, Brenda and Rhonda and a son, Otis.  She and Chuck moved to Amarillo, Texas where she was a pastor's wife and ministered to many through their church.  After Chuck's retirement, they moved back to Oklahoma to be near family.  She wore many hats during her life and excelled at all of them.  She loved God and it showed in her ministry.  The love she had for her family cannot be measured in words.  She was a true example of a Godly woman and left a lasting impression on those she met.

Surviving is her husband Chuck Garrison of the home, her children, Jackye Baker and husband Andy of Lawton, Tami Macias and husband Rafael of Geronimo, Oklahoma and 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 ½ great-great grandchildren, Brenda Clowers and husband Daniel of Oklahoma City, Otis Garrison and wife Charletta, Oklahoma City, Rhonda Daniels and husband Rodney of Houston, Texas, and their grandchildren, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, her sisters, Carolyn Butler of Duncan, Oklahoma, Jean Grooms of Duncan, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Debbie Durham of Wetumka, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, brother Jimmy Dean Durham, brother-in-law Raymond Butler, sisters-in-law Mary Lou Dunning, Doris Jean Laney, brother-in-law Leroy Hartman and in-laws Wilbert and Florence Hartman.
