Memorial service for James Dean Muncy, 53, Lawton, will be at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Evans, Dayspring Community Church, officiating. Mr. Muncy died Saturday, August 18 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. James was born October 3, 1958 in Lawton to Edwin P. and Carol Sue (Murphy) Muncy. He was a Lawton High School graduate. James was employed as a disc-jockey at area night clubs. Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Muncy, Raleigh, North Carolina; his father, Edwin P. Muncy, of the home; his step mother: Georgene Muncy, Lawton; a sister, Barbara Davis and husband Reggie, Lawton; three brothers, Jerry Dale Muncy, Florida, Quan Muncy and wife Linh, Oklahoma City, and Hoang Muncy, Kansas City, Missouri; six adopted sisters, Jessica Magers, Jennifer McLaughlin, Jaime Hargrove, Justine Ross and husband Daniel, all of Lawton, Jana Carter and husband Allen , Wichita Falls, Texas, and Destiny M. Muncy, Lawton; and many nieces and nephews. His mother; maternal grandparents, Bernard and Nora Murphy; paternal grandfather, Bill Muncy; and paternal grandmother, Mae Adams preceded him in death.
