Graveside service for Dr. James Ross Marsh, 86, Lawton will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Albert DeLeon, Voice of Truth Ministries officiating. Dr. Marsh died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his son's home in Geronimo. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. He was born October 7, 1928 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Samuel Ephriam and Ethyl Maye (Hammons) Marsh. Dr. Marsh graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1952 and from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1957. He received his doctorate in theology in 1974 from McCormick Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He pastored churches in Chattanooga, Oklahoma, St. Louis, Missouri, Temple, Oklahoma and Avery, Texas. He moved to Lawton in 1973 where he was also a pastor. He also sold real estate in Lawton for many years. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Martin and her husband Bob, Cache, son, Mike Marsh, Geronimo and five grandchildren, Shaun Martin and his wife Lauren, Little Elm, Texas, Jeremy Martin, Norman, Oklahoma, Paul Martin, Cole Martin and Heather Martin, all of Cache.
