Funeral service for Irma Wesson will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel

Burial will follow in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the funeral home.

Irma Wesson, age 81, of Lawton passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 in Lawton.  She was born October 20, 1934 in Eisenach, Germany to Paul and Gertrude (Schmidt) Stockhouse.  She married Franklin D.R. Wesson.  He died in 1994.  Mrs. Wesson worked for more than twenty-five years for AAFES. She was a member of  Order of the Eastern Star for nine years and was a member of Sherlykes for twenty-one years.  She was a volunteer at Reynolds Army Community Hospital for five years and at Comanche County Memorial Hospital for over ten years including seven years in the gift shop, a job she loved.

Survivors include her daughter; Bonnie Smith-Jackson and her husband Sweet, Lawton, two grandsons; Kevin D. Smith, Jr. and his wife, Amber, Jacksonville, North Carolina and Dominick Smith and his wife Nicole, Lawton, four great grandchildren; Kaiden Smith, Karter Smith, Kinsley Smith and Elijah Smith, a cousin; Crista Pierson, California and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
