Funeral service for Ingeborg "Inge" Griffin will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Gaches, Pastor, First Baptist West officiating.

Burial will follow in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

The family will greet friends Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Ingeborg "Inge" Griffin died Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 91.  She was born August 27, 1930 in Breslau, Germany to Alfred and Marie Burkhardt.  Inge spent her younger years in Germany and married Bennie Griffin, Sr. on November 9, 1959 in Zweibrucken, Germany.  He preceded her in death on November 11, 2006.  Inge and Bennie had five children, three boys and two girls.  She was truly a homemaker and also enjoyed cooking, shopping and talking about what her life was like in Germany.

Inge was a fighter and fought to live until the end.  When she learned of her illness she said "I want to live!"  Her love of life will not be forgotten as she was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Inge is survived by two sons Bennie Griffin, Jr and George Griffin and wife Vickie; two daughters Evon McMillion and husband James and Mary VanValkenbuff and husband John; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her son, Richard Griffin.
