Age 65, Lawton - Services will be 2:00 PM Friday in The Christian Center with Pastor Paul Craig, officiating. Mrs. Roberts died Friday, June 6, 2008 in a local hospital. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born on September 16, 1942 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to William and Stella (Reed) Claiborne. She graduated from high school in 1960. She worked at Monfiore Hospital in Pittsburgh until 1968. She married Thomas N. Roberts in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 5, 1969. She worked at Cedar Crest Manor until 1997. She was a member of The Christian Center. Survivors include her husband of the home; four daughters, Robin Russell and her husband, Phillip, Nicole Tarpley and her husband, Kevin, Jada Taylor and Penny Roberts, all of Lawton; three grandchildren, Tiana and Joshua Brooker, and Simone Hope Roberts; a brother and sister-in-law, John Claiborne and Linda of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Juanita Claiborne; four brothers-in-law, Ernest C. Roberts, Sr. of Hopewell, Virginia, James Pettaway of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John Crenshaw of Oregon, and Larry Pettaway and his wife, Dell, of Georgia; five sisters-in-law, Annie Duncan and her husband, Gregory, of Hopewell, Virginia, Mary Bennett of Hopewell, Virginia, Bridgett Bowman of North Carolina, Evelyn Oliver and her husband, Clarence, of Petersburg, Pennsylvania, and Ilene Jackson of Hopewell, Virginia; a niece, April Claiborne; and a nephew, Bill Bronson. Her parents, two brothers, William Claiborne, Jr. and James Claiborne, and three sisters, Mary Bronson, Martha Reynolds and Judy Claiborne, preceded her in death.
